How to start, stop, and edit time logs
Learn how to start and stop the timer in Chik, link time logs to specific tasks, add descriptions, and edit entries after the fact.

Chik's time tracker is built to be quick and unobtrusive — log your hours without breaking your flow. Here's how to get the most out of it.
Starting a timer
- Navigate to the Time Tracking section from your dashboard.
- Select the project you want to log time against.
- Hit the Start button. The timer begins immediately and syncs across all your devices in real-time.
Stopping a timer
- When you're done, hit the Stop button from any device.
- Add a description of what you worked on — this appears in client-facing time reports, so be clear and professional.
- Save the entry.
Editing a time log
Made a mistake or forgot to stop the timer? No problem. You can edit any time log after the fact — adjust the start time, end time, or description directly from the time log list inside your project.
