How to Invite Your First Client (Partner)

Learn how to easily invite clients as a Partner in Chik. Provide a professional, zero-friction portal for them to view progress and sign contracts, while keeping your internal tasks private.

Bringing your clients into Chik is the best way to keep your freelance projects organized and professional. By inviting a client as a "Partner," you give them access to a clean, frictionless client portal where they can view progress, read notes, and sign contracts—without seeing your messy internal drafts.

Here is how to send your first Partner invitation in just a few clicks.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open your settings: Look to the bottom left corner of your Chik dashboard and click Settings.
  2. Navigate to Partners: Click on Account, and then select Partners. (Shortcut: You can also go directly to https://my.chik.app/settings/partners).
  3. Enter their email: Type in your client's email address and hit send. That’s it!

What happens next?

Your client will receive a secure, unique invitation link in their inbox. To access their dashboard, they will need to create a free Chik account.

Important Tip to Share with Your Client:

Make sure your client signs up using the exact same email address where they received the invitation.

During their quick onboarding, Chik will ask them to choose between "Partner" and "Professional." Tell them to select Partner. This automatically strips away complex features and hides all Chik+ upgrade prompts, leaving them with a beautifully simple, distraction-free view of your project.

(Note: If your client ever wants to change their view, they can easily toggle this mode at any time from their Profile Settings).
